I came into beadwork after a long career as a graphic designer. My interest from the start has been the intricate patterns of beadweaving. I began to create my own designs and became published right away.
Many designers go for the elaborate, and I’ve done that, but I like to focus on craft that shows in the work, on style that is classic and well fitting, and on a final piece that can be worn all around and not just on special occasions.
I have developed several original stitches, including cluster stitch, Internal RAW, and S-Braid. These are all in my last book, Stitching with Two-Hole Shaped Beads.
I am currently working on expanding some of these stitches in a series of gradually more elaborate designs and hope to see another book published soon.
