The Pigment Project is owned and operated by Jessica Smith and Jillian Eacock. The Pigment Project began as a humble hobby in 2012, starting with a
vintage handmade loom designed and built by Jessica's late father.
Initially the loom was passed between the two to make earrings for
friends and family.
Slowly, the word began to get out, and sales and
stock requests began to pick up. They both have backgrounds in graphic
design, and find inspiration in obscure colors, patterns, and the wild
Montana landscape.
Jillian was born and raised in Central California. After lapping the world a couple of times, she settled in Helena, Montana in 2012. She now lives alongside her husband-to-be and dog, Grace. She
is currently working on her masters degree, and enjoys hiking, swimming, yoga,
and cooking in her spare time.
Jessica and Jillian create their handmade jewelry in their spare time, sometimes bringing their looms on backpacking and camping trips. They
find the looming process to be relaxing and artistically nurturing.
Their earrings are reflective of their moods and whims, and the styles
are ever evolving.
