1. Thread your needle with about 6 feet of thread. String one size 11/0 seed bead. Loop back through the same bead to create a stopper bead, leaving a 6 inch thread tail.
2. String the bead tip and slide it down so that it covers the stopper bead.
3. String one 11/0 seed bead. Continue adding 11/0 beads in groups of five.
10. String thirty-eight 11/0 seed beads to begin the netting portion of the necklace.
11.Turn and skipping over the last three beads in the row, pass up through the fourth bead. Pull thread taut. These four beads will form a small decorative loop at the bottom of this netting row.
12. Continuing up the row string nine beads. Skip over the nine beads on the opposite side of this netting row (not including the four beads in the decorative loop) and pass through the tenth to form an open loop.
13. String nine beads. Skip over the next nine beads on the opposite side of this netting row and pass through the tenth to form another open loop.
14. String nine beads. Skip over the next nine beads on the opposite side of this netting row and pass through the tenth to form another open loop.
15. To complete this row string four 11/0 beads. Connecting back to the previously strung collar, skip over four beads from where the previous netting row is exiting, and pass through the fifth.
22. To complete this row string four beads. Connecting back to the previously strung collar, skip over four beads from where the previous netting row is exiting, and pass through the fifth.
23. Repeat these steps to complete the netting portion of the necklace. Periodically lay the necklace out in the way it will sit on your neck to make sure the correct tension is being used.
24. To complete the final netting row, pass through the final bead on the previously strung collar. Loop around the ring of the clasp and pass back down through the final bead.
