My name is Milena Prangishvili. I am a self educated artisan. Since I was a small child I always had passion for art. I loved to draw, sculpt, sew, and do any kind of DIY project. I love working with my hands! I say working, but creating handmade jewelry doesn’t feel like work to me, because it is something I’m so passionate about.
I came to the United States about 5 years ago from small and sunny Tbilisi in the country of Georgia. Currently I live in New Jersey. I came to this country with the simple dream - to be able to do what I love, creating unique jewelry, while making a living for my family.
3 years ago I launched my first online Etsy shop, 7PM Boutique to share my art with world. Soon I opened a second shop www.prangdesigns.etsy.com
I love learning new techniques and working with all kinds of materials. Some of the materials I use for my creations include: genuine leather, seed beads, sterling silver, 14K gold filled, natural gemstones and pearls, polymer clay. Most of my inspiration arrives during the creative process. Some of them are from nature some from people.
I always work on two or three different projects at the same time. As a result my work space looks like a bomb exploded! Some of my favorite techniques include: bead embroidery, bead weaving, kumihimo braiding, wire wrapping, stringing, stamping, and working with polymer clay.
In 2014 I got my first award in a beading contest.
