Flower Petal Hoops
Our Flower Petal Hoops with Miyuki 4mm Magatama beads are both fun and stylish. They are large enough to make a statement, but delicate enough for everyday wear. Unlike some larger style hoops, the flower petal hoops are light weight and perfect for all day wear.

When the Magatama beads are wire wrapped, they fan delicately to form the prettiest of petals around the metal hoops. You will be using one long piece of fine wire to securely wrap each set of beads around the hoop. Practice making your wire wraps tight before getting started to ensure that your "petals" sit correctly around the hoops. Wrap them too loose and they will be wiggly and flop forward (not a good look!)
You will want to cut yourself an arm span of wire and begin tightly coiling starting at the top of your hoop. Once you have 4 tight wraps you will clip the tail and use flat nose pliers to press the sharp bit into the hoop. Use your finger to check that there isn't any sharp bits that could snag scarves or clothing.
Now using your long secured piece of wire, you're ready to add your first petal section. Slide on an 11/0 seed bead, a Magatama bead, and another 11/0 seed bead. You will want to "pinch" the beads and the hoop between your finger so that the Magatama bead is sticking outward. Pinching them before wrapping the section will keep the beads right where you want them. (Be careful that your 11/0s aren't sneaking into the holes of your Magatama beads.)
As you pinch your beads in place take your wire and tightly coil again around your hoop four times. As you bring the wire through your hoop each time, take care that the wire doesn't kink. If you DO get a kink, not to worry, you can use a wire straightener to smooth things out again. Your first petal is now secure.
When you get back around to the beginning, you'll want to leave room for your ear wire. End your hoop by filling in the rest with tight coils. Clip off your tail with the cutters and just like at the beginning tap in any tail left still sticking out using your flat nose pliers. Attach your earwires and enjoy!

Dewdrop Earrings

Using two pairs of bent nose pliers you'll start by opening each ring, adding two beads per ring and linking the rings together as you go.
Take care that you connect each ring between the two beads on the previous ring. Each earring consists of 10 jump rings with beads. Lastly you will add your ear wires.
