1. String one 4mm Square bead (SB) onto approximately 3 feet of thread. Leave a tail of about 5 inches at the end.
2. Turn the needle and go back through the SB. This will form a loop around the earwire.
3. Cinch tight so that the SB sits flush up against the wire right above the earwire’s loop.
4. Add a second SB.
Pass the needle behind the earwire.
Go back up passing in front of the earwire and through the SB. This will form a second loop around the earwire.
Tighten the loop around the earwire.
Pass back down the first SB added, with the thread behind the earwire.
Stitch up the front of the earwire and pass back up the first SB on the earwire.
Stitch down through the second SB on the earwire.
Pass around the earwire and back up the second SB added.
Continue stitching in this manner until there are 11 or 12 square beads attached to the earwire.
Add one 8/0 seed bead, two 2.2mm Spacer beads (SPR22) and one 15/0 seed bead.
Turn the needle and skipping the 15/0, go back down through the SPR22s, 8/0 and the SB.
Pass behind the earwire and pull to secure.
Turn the needle again and go back through only the SB this time.
Moving from right to left, step over to the next SB and go down through it passing behind the earwire.
Turn and go back through the SB going around the earwire.
Add another set of one 8/0, two SPR22s and one 15/0.
Turn the needle and skipping the 15/0, go back down through the SPR22s, 8/0 and the SB passing behind the earwire.
Pull to secure.
