Kaleidoscope Tila Bracelet

1. Cut a four foot length of Miyuki nylon beading thread (MNT). In an alternating pattern string twelve Miyuki 11/0 seed beads starting with 11/0 color B and ending with 11/0 color A.

2. Pass back through all 11/0 beads to form a ring, leaving an eight inch tail.

3. Pass through a second time and exit 11/0 color B (the first bead strung in step 1).

4. String one Miyuki Tila bead (TL) in color B, one 11/0 in color B, one 3mm Czech Fire Polished bead (CZF), and one 11/0 in color B.

5. Turn and pass down through the second hole of the TL. Working clockwise, skip over one 11/0 (color A) in the ring and pass through the next 11/0 (color B).

6. Repeat step 4.

7. Repeat step 5.

8. Continue in this way, repeating steps 4 and 5 until there are six TL beads in color B. Exit the 11/0 (color B) as in step 3.

9. Pass through the TL, 11/0, and CZF beads added in step 4. Working clockwise, continue through the next two 11/0 beads in the ring, exiting 11/0 color A.

10. String one TL (color A), one 11/0 (color A), one CZF, and one 11/0 (color A)

11. Turn and pass down through the second hole of the TL. Working clockwise, skip over one 11/0 (color B) in the ring and pass through the next 11/0 (color A).

12. Continue in this way repeating steps 10 and 11 until there are six TL beads in color A. Exit the 11/0 (color A) as in step 9.

13. Continue up through the next TL (added in step 10).

14. Working counterclockwise pass down through the TL (color B) to the left. Turn and pass up through the second hole of this TL.

15. Continue down through the next TL (color A) to the left (sitting slightly in front of where the thread is exiting). Turn and pass up through the second hole of this TL.

16. Repeat steps 14 and 15, joining the two layers of TL beads together.

17. Continue in this way until all TL beads are joined together. Exit the TL (color A) as in step 13.

18. Reinforce this set of beads by passing through the 11/0, CZF, 11/0, and both sides of the the TL bead. Continue through one 11/0 and exit the CZF at the top of the set.

19. Switch the needle to the tail end of the thread.

20. Working counterclockwise, pass through one 11/0 (color A) in the center ring. Continue up through the TL and 11/0 in this set of beads (opposite the previous working thread).

21. Reinforce this set of beads by passing through the CZF, 11/0, and both sides of the the TL bead. Continue through one 11/0 and exit the CZF.

22. String thirty-seven 11/0 beads in color B.

23. Pass back through the CZF to form a loop and continue through all the beads again to reinforce. Exit the CZF, this forms the loop for the beaded clasp.

24. Reinforce this set of beads and exit the TL at the center ring. Continue counterclockwise through the next five 11/0 beads in the ring. Trim excess thread from the center ring only. This completes the first beaded circle and clasp loop.

25. Repeat steps 1-21 to make a second beaded circle.

26. Weave in the thread on one side of the beaded circle by passing down through the 11/0 and TL (directly below where the thread is exiting). Continue around the center ring of 11/0 beads to secure thread. Trim excess thread from the center ring only.

27. Working on the first beaded circle pick up the remaining thread tail (exiting the CZF opposite the clasp loop) and string one 11/0 in color B.

28. Pass through the CZF bead on the second beaded circle (opposite the thread tail). String one 11/0 in color B and loop back into the CZF bead on the first beaded circle.

29. Continue through the next 11/0 and CZF. Turn right and pass through this set of beads to reinforce. Exit the CZF and turn left, passing through the next 11/0.

30. Pass down through the CZF to left and continue through this set of beads to reinforce, exiting the TL at the center ring.

31. Continue around the center ring of 11/0 beads to secure thread and trim.

32. Repeat steps 1-21 to make a third beaded circle.

33. Join the new circle to the bracelet by following steps 27-31.

35. The last beaded circle will form the clasp. It will be slightly smaller with five sets of beads instead of six. In an alternating pattern string ten Miyuki 11/0 seed beads starting with 11/0 color A and ending with 11/0 color B.

36. Pass back through all 11/0 beads to form a ring. Pass through a second time and exit 11/0 color A (the first bead strung in step 35).

37. Repeat steps 4 and 5 with TL and 11/0 color A beads until there are five TL beads around the ring.

38. Pass through the first set of beads added in step 37. Working clockwise, continue through the next two 11/0 beads in the ring, exiting 11/0 color B.

39. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add TL and 11/0 beads in color B.

40. Repeat steps 13-17 to join the two layers of TL beads.

41. Pass down through TL (color B) and continue through 11/0 (color B) in the center ring.

42. String one CZF. Moving from right to left, pass through 11/0 (color A) directly across the ring from the 11/0 just exited. Continue through the next 11/0 in the ring (color B).

43. Pass through the CZF added in step 42. Moving from right to left, continue through the two 11/0 beads directly across the ring from the two just exited.

44. Repeat step 42 and continue back through the CZF.

45. String ten 11/0 beads in color B.

46. Pass through the CZF bead at the end of the last beaded circle. String ten 11/0 beads in color B.

47. Pass through the CZF bead in the center of the beaded clasp to form a loop. Pass through all of the beads again to reinforce. Exit the CZF bead on the last beaded circle.

48. Reinforce the set of beads to the left, exiting the CZF bead.

49. Turn and pass down through the 11/0 and TL to the left. Continue around the center ring of 11/0 beads to secure. Trim excess thread.
