1. String the button onto the leather cord and bring it to the center. Fold the leather in half on either side of the button shank.
2. Tie the leather in an overhand knot just below the button shank, leaving it slightly loose.
3. Cut approximately five feet of thread. Anchor the thread by coiling through the leather knot.
4. Tighten the leather knot and pull the thread coil snug. Add a drop of Hypo cement to the knot. Trim the thread tail.
5. Bring the thread over the top piece leather cord. Pick up one 8/0 seed bead and bring it between the two cords.
6. Loop the thread around the bottom cord going from front to back. Pass up through the 8/0 keeping the thread in front of the top cord. Make sure the 8/0 sits snugly against the knot.
7. Bring the thread over the top cord, passing through the 8/0 again. The thread forms a figure eight pattern, securing the bead into place.
8. Pass back up through the 8/0 continuing in the the figure eight thread pattern.
9. Pick up two 8/0 seed beads and bring them in between the two cords.
10. Secure the 8/0 beads using the figure eight thread pattern. Make sure the second row of beads sits parallel to the first.
11. Repeat the figure eight pattern to reinforce the second row.
12. To create the third row, pick up three 8/0 beads and repeat steps 10 and 11.
13. Add one Miyuki Long Magatama (LMA) one 3mm Swarovski Crystal Bicone and one LMA. The LMA beads should be strung in opposite directions to that the tips flare away from the crystal.
14. Secure the beads using the figure eight pattern. Make sure the fourth row of beads sits parallel to others.
15. Repeat the figure eight pattern to reinforce the row.
16. Repeat steps 13 - 15 to add a second row of LMA and crystal beads.
17. Add a third row of LMA and crystal beads in the same way.
18. Add a row of three 8/0 beads. This row will separate the sets of LMA beads and give the bracelet flexibility.
19. Continue the pattern by repeating rows 13 - 18 until there are ten sets of LMA beads. Please note: this will make a bracelet approximately 7.5 inches long, add more sets if a longer length is desired.
20. After the last set of LMA beads is complete taper the bracelet by adding three decreasing rows of 8/0 beads (as in the beginning of the bracelet).
21. Reinforce the 8/0 beads by stitching back through each row, following the figure eight thread pattern.
22. Place a small amount of Hypo cement on the thread prior to trimming.
23. Trim off excess thread.
24. Tie the leather in an overhand knot just after the final bead.
25. Tie a second overhand knot. Leave enough space between the knots to accommodate the button.
