Amazonite is a semi-precious stone of a lively green color, often mottled with coppers, browns, and creams. This stone gets its name from the Amazon River, where stones of a similar color have been found. Amazonite is a variety of the potassium feldspar that is commonly found in waterways in several countries, including China, Libya, and the United States. This strand of 10mm beads comes with pale blue-greens, coppers, browns, and creams and features a large sized hole.
Semi-precious stone beads are mined all over the world and then are usually cut in China. They will often be dyed or color-treated to enhance their appearance. We select the best quality semi-precious that is available, and try to avoid finishes that are not durable. It is best to assume that some semi-precious beads will fade over time.
