LMA Phoenix Feather Earring Instructions

Step 1: Cut the leather into two 6 inch pieces. Add one 6/0 seed bead at the center of the leather.

Step 2: String one Long Magatama (LMA) onto the left side of the leather. Make sure the LMA is slanting towards the center of the earring.

Step 3: Add six more LMA beads (for a total of seven) making sure they are all slanting in the same direction.

Step 4: String one LMA onto the right side of the leather. Make sure it is slanting towards the center of the earring.

Step 5: Add six more LMA beads to the right side. Trim leather to the desired length (remove about an inch off each side).

Step 6: Pinch the two ends of the leather together and slide them into the crimp end.

Step 7: Once both ends of leather are in place, flatten the center section of the crimp end. Make sure to crimp along the scored lines.

Step 8: If the beads are sliding on the leather you can put a dab of glue under the top bead on each side. We recommend the Hypo Cement.

Step 9: Hook the earwires onto the loop on each crimp end and you are done!
